Ben Blushi is an Albanian writer, politician, and journalist. He was born on October 15, 1969, in the city of Gjirokastra, Albania. He graduated from the University of Tirana with a degree in Albanian language and literature.
Blushi started his career as a journalist, working for various media outlets, including the newspaper Koha Jone, where he served as editor-in-chief. He later turned to politics and was elected to the Albanian parliament in 2009 as a member of the Socialist Party.
Blushi is also a prolific writer, having published several novels, short stories, and essays. His first novel, “Living on the Edge,” was published in 2003 and won the Albanian Literary Award. Some of his other well-known works include “The Closed Balkan,” “The Path of Sorrow,” and “The Anatomy of Sin.”
Blushi has been praised for his literary style, which is characterized by its honesty, sensitivity, and wit. He has also been a vocal critic of government corruption and organized crime in Albania.
